Raha Rastegar

Raha M.Rastegar, M.Arch, is a research assistant at SimTigrate Design Lab pursuing her Ph.D. in the School of Architecture at Georgia Tech, with a major in healthcare design.

Raha's interests include designing better healthcare environments by translating scientifically tested research into real-life practice with a focus on human-centered design.  She is currently working on projects focusing on design for people with cognitive impairment to explore how built environment parameters such as light can be employed as a non-therapeutic treatment. In her research, she also seeks to understand how spatial analysis, research, process modeling and simulation can be used as tools to achieve a more effective design.
