Godfried Augenbroe Symposium
Friday, March 4th, 2022
Professor Godfried Augenbroe was the founder of the High Performance Building Lab and researched topics including computational building simulation, indoor air quality, building performance, and system monitoring and its related fields. A recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA) in 2008, he was a leader of education and research in building science for over 35 years and advised over 30 Ph.D. students from the U.S.A. and Europe.
With Prof. Fried Augenbroe's untimely passing, the Georgia Tech School of Architecture, the High Performance Building Lab, and the IBPSA Georgia Tech Chapter are organizing an event specifically focusing on showcasing Fried's alumni. This is our tribute to Fried's legacy, his students, and his collaborators' impact on the world after departing Georgia Tech.
The Augenbroe Symposium will take place both in-person and virtually on March 4th, from 8am-2pm. The event is free but space is filling up quickly!
