Candidate in 3.5 Master of Architecture program and M.S. Civil Engineering program

Favorite thing about being at Georgia Tech: The range of backgrounds and passion for innovation are what drew me to Tech as an undergrad, and a huge part of the reason that I stayed at Tech for my graduate degrees. I have met so many people with different viewpoints and ideas, which has inspired me so much throughout my time here. There is always someone with the curiosity and drive to support me or join me in whatever I want to do, and I think that environment is amazing, especially for architecture students.

Why do you want to be an architect?   I have always loved buildings and been super interested in how the built environment is constructed and occupied (my undergrad degree is in civil engineering, also from Georgia Tech). For me, architecture was the next inevitable step to further exploring how all of that works. I’ve always planned on having an understanding of both the design and engineering side of buildings, so studying architecture in conjunction with civil/structural engineering at Tech means that I have the breadth to design anything I can conceive of when it comes to buildings.
