Candidate in Master of Science in Urban Design Program

Favorite thing about being at Georgia Tech: My favorite thing about Georgia Tech is that I get to interact with people from diverse cultural, ethnic, and professional backgrounds. It helps me learn empathy at different levels. The studio's environment is truly welcoming, and every day, there are so many inspiring things happening around.

Why do you want to be an urban designer?  I want to be an urban designer to solve city-level problems, focusing on the human scale. My undergraduate architectural thesis motivated me to study the public realm more closely. I am confident that I can bring some changes to the problems our cities are facing working with communities and stakeholders at different levels.

What do you do for fun? I love taking a stroll and capturing the unique scenes around me. I connect with photography because it helps me understand different spatial qualities associated with the human scale. On weekends, I am learning to cook traditional North-Indian cuisine and revisiting my old interests of calligraphy and painting.

One word to describe what you thought before you started: Eager
One word to describe what you think now: Exuberant
