Transfer Student, Class of 2023

What is your favorite thing to do in Atlanta? From the limitless resources granted to students to the cultural diversity apparent throughout campus, it is a difficult decision choosing a favorite. I would ultimately have to say my favorite thing is the sense of inclusion one can easily experience at Tech. Discovering my Hispanic community at Tech has allowed me to express myself to the fullest extent.

What do you do for fun in Atlanta? Coming from the rural parts of Georgia, Atlanta has revealed itself to be a completely different world. Atlanta is overflowing with various historic monuments and famous places to go visit. So far, I’ve enjoyed visiting the High Museum, Atlanta Botanical Gardens, Centennial Olympic Park, and taking late-night trips to QuikTrip with my close architecture friends the most.

What was your favorite class? Without a doubt, my favorite class, so far, has been my first ever architecture studio during the fall semester. The studio allowed me to truly find my own creative space and develop designs that transformed into fully functional architectural projects. Experimenting with an array of materials, techniques, and design styles is exactly why I love architecture.

What clubs do you belong to? Impact Living Learning Community, LLCC (Living Learning Community Council - Recruitment Committee), HRT (Hispanic Recruitment Team), SAA(Student Alumni Association), and FirstGen GT Organization
