The Georgia Tech School of Architecture students have numerous opportunities for real-world, hands-on architecture and design experiences, which help give them the tools they need for building competitive and marketable portfolios. Margaret Fletcher’s recently released publication, Constructing the Persuasive Portfolio, features work by alumni, Pavan Iyer (2016) and Annie McCarthy (2013), who both graduated from the School of Architecture with a Master of Architecture degree, and current Ph.D. in Architecture student, Jeffrey Collins.
Constructing the Persuasive Portfolio is a helpful learning tool for understanding and designing a compelling and effective architectural portfolio. Out of 10,000 pages of portfolios submitted by students for the publication, 400 submissions made it into the final publication. McCarthy’s portfolio was one of the selections featured in its entirety in the case study section of Constructing the Persuasive Portfolio.
Fletcher will be holding a Portfolio Design Workshop in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech Academy of Medicine at 875 West Peachtree Street NE, Atlanta, GA 30309 on Monday, November 6 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Register Here. Fletcher will also be joining the School for the Portfolio Event Day on December 1.
