Biography
Breck Small is an Architectural designer and artist based out of Atlanta. She received her Bachelor of Architecture from Kennesaw State University where she won several awards for her work in addition to presenting her thesis at the ACSA conference at Standford University. After several years of professional experience, she returned to earn her M.S. of Architecture focusing on computational design at Georgia Tech. While at Tech, her interests widened to practical applications of computational design in the design profession. As a lecturer, she is passionate about students understanding design conceptually and how to create compelling forms and spaces through narrative development.
Breck is LEED certified designer at Perkins&Will, where she focuses on higher education projects, designing beautiful spaces for top universities in the Southeast. She has participated in the pursuit and design of projects for UGA, University of South Alabama, University of Alabama Huntsville, GaTech, LSU, and others. She combines her love of academics and the student experience with elegant formal design to create spaces that inspire students and faculty alike. Breck uses her knowledge of digital fabrication to create physical models for clients and project pursuits.
As an artist, Breck has worked with multiple branded environments teams, designing installations for live events, conferences, and permanent creative interior design. Her love for art extends to photography and portrait drawings.
