Biography
A recent transplant to the city of Atlanta, Jennifer Hsiaw is currently practicing at Smith Dalia Architects, working on a variety of projects ranging from commercial to industrial to multi-family projects here in town. Since her early introductions to architecture, she has been keenly interested in the environmental and social performance of buildings and spaces and strives to integrate the technical as a key component of the design process. Immediately prior to moving to Atlanta, Jennifer gained experience on multiple mass timber commercial office projects sited in California and Virginia. She also taught undergraduate studios at the University of Virginia and James Madison University, with an emphasis on architecture as infrastructure and material exploration in model-making. At Georgia Tech, she has led a senior studio focused on mass timber exploration and the design of a locally sited pavilion, as well as building integration and introductory structures to undergraduate and graduate students.
