Mayuri is a Ph.D. student at the High Performance Buildings Lab in the College of Design. She has completed a Bachelors in Electrical and Electronics engineering and Masters in Renewable Energy Engineering with a specialization on building energy efficiency from India.

She has been working on a project from NSF which quantifies the human health risk for the concurrent events of extreme heat wave with grid failure in three US cities of Phoenix, Atlanta and Detroit.

Her research is focused on risks of overheating in residential dwellings, resilience in built environment and role of weather in urban simulations. Her ongoing research is related to assessing uncertainties in predictive building performance induced by meso-scale weather variations and using data science with geographical information to create high fidelity spatially varying weather input for building simulation practice.
