Favorite thing about being at Georgia Tech: My favorite thing about being at Georgia Tech is the great community created by my faculty and peers within the school of architecture. Being surrounded by other students who share the same passion and excitement for their work and the work of others makes coming to studio something that I look forward to every day.
What do you do for fun in Atlanta? I bike or skateboard around the city with friends. I enjoy discovering new parks and restaurants in the many neighborhoods that surround the city. I went to high-school nearby to Tech but I still find that there are so many new things to discover.
What has been your favorite class? Thus far my favorite class was First Year Studio. It's really unique to have a class that encourages you to share ideas, draw on the viewpoints of those around you, and talk with other people who get you excited about your work and inspire you to try new things. This class has allowed me to learn a lot about myself and working with others toward a shared goal. We finished the semester with a multi-use project on a nearby site in Atlanta. It was really fun to collaboratively document the site and imagine our designs coming to life.
Which student organizations do you belong to? I am a member of the GT Musicians Network and have been using their practice space to learn how to drum. I've also performed a few times with some friends at their weekly open mic.
