This year, 186 teams from across disciplines at Georgia Tech competed in the Spring 2021 Capstone Design Expo and showcased their work from the Spring 2021 semester. Nearly 2400 people attended the virtual Spring Capstone Design Expo hosted on Gatherly

Architecture students participate in the Capstone Design Expo as a part of their senior studio’s output. Historically, the College of Engineering has dominated the participation at the Expo, but in recent years, the School of Architecture has become more involved. Each year, the Expo awards a best overall grand prize and prizes for a winning team from each discipline at Georgia Tech.

This year’s Architecture Prize went to team All Right Architecture comprised of senior architecture students from Ventulett III NEXT Generation Visiting Fellow Ryan Roark, Arthima Chaisiri and Chris Geng. All Right Architecture’s project was titled “Whitehall Provision.”

“Whitehall Junction explores how programs often associated with renovation-as-gentrification—a performing arts complex, market, apartments—can create a bridge between present and future occupants, serving, rather than displacing, the existing community,” All Right Architecture wrote in their project overview.
