In May 2018, Débora Mesa, partner with Ensamble Studio, was appointed to the Thomas W. Ventulett III Distinguished Chair in Architectural Design. Débora joined Ensamble Studio in 2003 and became a partner of the firm in 2010. Prior to the appointment, Mesa served as visiting professor for the Pratt Institute and in 2017 served as the Benjamin Menschel visiting professor at The Cooper Union

Julie Ju-Youn Kim RA AIA is the Associate Chair of the School of Architecture, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Associate Professor with tenure at Georgia Institute of Technology. She is also the founder and principal of c2architecturestudio, an award-winning architectural practice.

Vernelle A. A. Noel on Teaching Yourself, Teaching Others, and Doing Good

Vernelle A. A. Noel served as our Ventulett NEXT Generation Visiting Fellow, a two-year program for up and coming faculty who are at the beginning of their careers and interested in interdisciplinary teaching and research that merges design, technology, and culture. Vernelle is now assistant professor of Architecture and computational design with the University of Florida College of Design, Construction, and Planning.

Purpose, Values, and Looking Sideways

Maria Pastorelli completed her Bachelor of Science in Architecture ('18) and her Master of Architecture ('20) at Georgia Tech. As a student in the School of Architecture, Maria served as a member of the Architecture Student Advisory Board, as an undergraduate and graduate student ambassador, and served in leadership roles in the Equity in Architecture student organization. Maria, along with Emily Khalid (M.Arch '20) started the Open Plan podcast, which will launch in late September 2020.

A Day With Madame Architect Assistant Editor, Amy Stone

Amy Stone graduated from the Georgia Tech School of Architecture Master of Architecture program in the summer of 2020. Amy was actively involved in the Equity in Architecture (formerly Women in Architecture) student organization and led the organization's efforts in hosting their first Equity in Architecture Forum, now an annual spring semester event. In addition to her role as senior editor with Madame Architect, Amy is an associate with Lord Aeck Sargent.
