A striking addition to Georgia Tech's campus, the Path of Progress pavilion celebrates the history and achievements of Georgia Tech alumnae. The pavilion's architect, Merica May Jensen (Mgt 2008, M.Arch 2011), said it contains several unusual features that may not be noticed by the casual observer. She shared photos and drawings of the pavilion with the School of Architecture, pointing out some of the most interesting features of her design.

The structure holds ~1000 tons of tension. The largest amount of forces are at the top column tied into a pile cap with 36-inch helical piers running 60-feet into the ground.
