Using traditional field surveying, archival research, and cutting-edge digital tools, the practice of Heritage Documentation and Visualization records and studies historic sites. Of particular interest are sites with fragile building fabric that are facing demolition by neglect, vernacular architecture of the American South, and sites related to significant events within the civil rights movement. This field seeks to sequentially capture the state of historic sites, test the limits of heritage BIM, and collate information into meaningful platforms for expanded public access and interpretation.
